Latex Allergies And Alternatives

We offer the best Condoms at Wholesale and Bulk Quantities

In it's natural form rubber latex is derived from tropical rubber trees. Removed in it's liquid form it is then processed to make many of the following rubber products used at home and at work:

  • Balloons
  • Toys
  • Condoms
  • Tape and bandages
  • Diapers and sanitary pads
  • Nipples for baby bottles

Additionally a large quantity of dental and medical supplies are also made of latex. Many people are aware of latex allergies however few are aware that all of these products have non-latex alternatives. Allergic reactions to latex may appear as itchy or red watery eyes, sneezing or runny nose, coughing, a rash or hives chest tightness and shortness of breath to name a few. However, there are many things that one may do to prevent these symptoms like wearing a glove liner, proper hand sanitizing, or changing to the non-latex alternative to each of the products responsible for the outbreak.

Don't Be A Fool!

You're a fool not to wear a condom because of a latex allergyDon't be a fool and get caught saying "I can't wear condoms because I'm allergic to latex". Today a sound alternative to latex condoms can be found in the "polyurethane condoms" found on the market. Although polyurethane condoms are less elastic and a bit loser fitting than the latex condoms, they are just as effective against STD's such as Herpes and AIDS and also do a fine job of preventing unwanted pregnancies as well.

The polyurethane condoms require a bit more care in the use and lubrication departments. Using a lubricant such as KY Jelly or another such lube and performing a bit less energetically can prevent the tearing or slipping off sometimes associated with wearing a polyurethane condom. These non latex condoms should only be worn by people who are allergic to the standard latex condoms. Since the polyurethane condoms are slightly more apt to slip off or tear during those "extra lusty" moments or from improper lubrication a latex condom is a better bet for those who can wear them without allergic reaction.

Once again, please don't practice unsafe sex simply because you have a latex allergy as this is no longer a reasonable excuse. Today there is another alternative to latex and it's name is polyurethane. If you need more help with any of our non latex condoms please feel free to call us toll free at 888-659-5808 during normal business hours EST. We will be more than happy to provide you with any additional information that could help you transition from latex to polyurethane condoms.
